Hello! Welcome to my website. It is my hope that you will find the information helpful and informative with regard to your son/daughters education. My goal is to use this site to share information, helpful homework links, curriculum information and updates. Please feel free to contact me with questions or suggestions you may have to help me improve the site. It is my first attempt at using a website as a teacher!
Although I have met many of you, I thought it was important to share a few things about myself to help you get to know me better.
I began my teaching career in 1984 in Monticello, NY after graduating from Russell Sage College. I moved to Boston, MA where I worked at Boston College for 8 years, met my husband and started a family. I have a daughter, Haleigh who is 23 and is a yoga instructor and personal trainer. I have a son Alexander who is 21 and is a photographer and film maker. I have a third "child", Baron who is our beloved golden retriever. My husband Jim is a U.S. History teacher in Rockford. We enjoy our summer's traveling to New England (especially Maine), hiking, kayaking, exploring and capturing moments with my camera.
I always knew I wanted to teach and after 30 years, I still look forward to coming to work each day! I came to Cedar in 1993 to teach Early Childhood Special Education. After 20 years I was asked to teach 6th grade and have found the change refreshing and challenging. I absolutely love working with your children. They teach me something new every single day as we grow and learn together.
